Where 'near me' actually means for us
Reading (RG1-RG31) - home base, on doorstep, workshop at 50a London Street RG1 4SQ.
Berkshire - Wokingham, Bracknell, Newbury, Ascot, Windsor, Maidenhead.
North Hampshire - Basingstoke, Hook, Tadley, Farnborough, Fleet.
South Oxfordshire - Didcot, Wallingford, Henley-on-Thames.
South Buckinghamshire - Marlow, Beaconsfield, Aylesbury.
Surrey/West London borders - Woking, Weybridge, Kew, Teddington.
Why 'local' matters for a bathroom fit
Snagging is the giveaway. National chains and lead-gen middlemen leave and reappear on their schedule. A local fitter can pop back the same week if a hinge needs adjusting or a sealant line wants re-doing.
We know regional supplier stock, so leads times are predictable - nobody's waiting three weeks for a tile that a Reading merchant has 200 boxes of.
We know local Building Control routes - Reading Borough Council, West Berkshire, Wokingham Borough, Bracknell Forest, Basingstoke & Deane - so notifiable works get signed off without you chasing paperwork.
