Specification for heavy use
Thermostatic shower valves from a mainstream range, chosen so cartridges are easy to source and swap without replacing the whole valve.
Epoxy grout in shower zones, which stands up to aggressive cleaning far better than cement grout in a high-turnover property.
Wall-hung WCs with access panels where practical, so servicing does not mean breaking tiles.
Humidity-sensing extraction, sized properly and ducted correctly, because multiple showers a day in a small room will otherwise create a persistent mould problem.
Fitting several rooms in one visit
Where a property has two or three shower rooms and en-suites, doing them together saves substantially on set-up, deliveries and disruption versus one at a time.
We sequence so the house is never entirely without a working WC where the layout allows, and we agree which room goes offline when before we start.
Adding an en-suite
Compact en-suites often turn on drainage: whether a gravity waste run can reach the stack with adequate fall, and whether the floor depth allows it.
We assess that first, because it decides whether a room is straightforward or needs a different approach entirely.
Frequently asked questions
Can you work while the house is occupied?
Usually yes, with an agreed schedule for which facilities are offline and when. Communication with tenants matters as much as the work.
Do you handle HMO compliance requirements?
We build to current standards for the installation work itself. Licensing and amenity standards for the property are between you and the council, and we will not advise on those.
Is there a discount for multiple rooms?
Doing several rooms in one visit genuinely reduces our costs, and the quote reflects that.
What finish holds up best to heavy cleaning?
Porcelain with epoxy grout, mainstream chrome brassware and quality sanitary sealant. It is not glamorous but it survives.
